When the hot tub is not in use, water in the plumbing over the winter can cause the water to freeze and expand, which can cause the pipes to crack or burst.
Firstly unrwap the protective shield, remove the side panel and reattach the unions and drain plug. Check the filter is safe to use, if either replace with a new one or clean your hot tub filter effectively.
Now you can refill the spa and reconnect to mains power. Don’t forget to test the water with a suitable PH testing kit. Once at a suitable temperature, you’re good to go.
